About me
Hi! I’m Heather. I work with charter school boards, authorizers, and school leaders across the country on governance, accountability, strategic planning, school quality reviews, and authorizing practices. Before joining the Institute, I worked at NACSA, WestEd, and the SUNY Charter Schools Institute, and started my career as a Teach for America Corps Member in Brooklyn. I love talking about what actually makes schools and authorizers succeed in practice, as well as hearing about your amazing schools (in particular, if you're doing career connected learning)!Outside of work, I’m usually traveling, hiking, and taking tons of photos. Come say hi if you want to swap ideas, compare travel recommendations, or talk through charter school challenges with someone who probably overthinks them too.
